We’re Not the Bloodhound Gang, But There’s Trouble and We’re There on the Double

Everything they say about Labs is true.

I now call him Dogus, as does most of the family, and since he doesn’t respond to any name, nor to most commands, nor to squeaky toys, it’s purely for my own amusement.

In the last four weeks, he’s eaten my daughter’s birthday cake, an entire loaf of bread, two blueberry English muffins, a bag of potato chips, two donuts (and the box), and…

March Month in Review — QED and Amen

I’m not a huge fan of pranks. Never have been. I find them to largely be mean-spirited, intended to humiliate.

No, I’m not fun at parties and I will not lighten up. You know who else is not fun at parties? Batman. You know who is probably fun at parties? The Wonder Twins.

QED and amen.

Anyway.

Here, the big April Fools’ Joke is that the jokes in my house were pretty terrible because all pranks were largely driven by my kids. They gave themselves the giggles by covering up the last “ps” on the package of Peeps. Hilarious.

Pirates, Vader, and Questionable Nose Boops

I have a lot to say about the ridiculous notion that “women aren’t funny.” While most people in comedy would balk at that, I have over a decade of experience in that world that confirms that there is a very narrow lane for women, a lane that thankfully more and more women are trying to widen.

That’s a deep discussion for another time (where I am more than happy to tell you how many times in various improv classes I was told to “be ok” with constantly being assigned to play a hooker because if I were any good, I could be THE SMARTEST HOOKER IN THE ROOM!).

I want to focus on the future. Namely on my daughter.
