These month-in-review posts are a self-indulgent treat for me – I get to sit and navel gaze about my own habits and activities, likes and dislikes, reads and view over the past weeks. I was all set to go about looking at the last 30 days when April showers turned to flood.
I’ve received a lot of happy news this week.
I am so excited to be back in The Sun again this month. The theme was “What Matters Most.” You can read my submission here, and I strongly encourage you to get a subscription to this gorgeous magazine.
I mean, this cover alone is stunning:
I also found out that the film I produced and co-wrote, Fixed Up, won top honors at the Best Shorts Competition this past week. I’ll be blogging more about that in coming days.
For now, we are knee-deep in Spring Break, here where the weather is gray and windy. We warm ourselves with takeout wings and sit close on the couch to watch finals of games I could care less about, but that fascinate the rest of my gang.
It’s pretty wonderful.
May your team win or lose with abandon.
A quick drop by to say that Fixed Up, the movie I co-wrote with the unparalleled Joy Borgardt(who also directed) has been accepted into the Best Shorts Competition. High fives to the entire talented team involved in this project, including the incomparable Jason Beaumont, who shot and edited the film and was overall a wonderful resource for this newbie.
The judging is later this month. Meanwhile, please enjoy this trailer!
